Bridal sessions are growing more popular in others areas of the world. Growing up in the south, we have never known any different. It is a Southern tradition for the bride to have her very own photo session. Fully dressed for her wedding day, gorgeous and glowing, away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding day. As per tradition, only a select few are privileged to see the bride in her wedding attire before the big day. The feel you want in the photo (outdoors, indoors, rural, urban), determines your setting. Kelli chose Avery Island. Her Jungle Gardens Bridal photos are a perfect representation of her love for outdoors and her southern charm!
A portrait from the bridal session is often displayed at the reception and is traditionally gifted to the mother of the bride (although many couples choose to keep the portrait themselves). It can be a traditional print, a gallery wrap canvas, or even metal! The possibilities these days are endless and ever evolving.
Avery Island
As a lover of all things ‘outdoors’, Kelli chose the Avery Island Jungle Gardens as the backdrop for her bridal photos. It’s the perfect setting for all types of photos. The gardens themselves have many different areas to explore and provide a wide array of settings. All with an underlying southern feel. From the moss covered pathways to the cypress trees, to the cobblestone bridge and the holly arch, we love Avery Island. It’s perfect for a gorgeous bride in her wedding dress! We have the most amazing brides and Kelli is no exception! After rescheduling for rain once already, it was forecast to rain again that day. Always the adventurer, she braved the rain and heat and rocked her wedding dress! She had an amazing crew that kept her dry as we snapped photos between rain drops.
