The Bridal Portrait. Timeless. Elegant. A southern tradition. Maci wanted something that represented her – and she chose the perfect location! Her classic style is only overshadowed by her amazing smile and gorgeous eyes! A smile that can part rain clouds – I’d like to think that’s what drew Colton in, but between you and me, he says it was her tight jeans the first day he laid eyes on her – but that’s another story! And since these two were MARRIED this past weekend — I can finally share these gorgeous Arlington Plantation Bridal photos!
Franklin, Louisiana
Franklin, Louisiana is a small town in the southern part of the state. Famous for sugar cane – and with that comes sugar cane farms, sugar cane fields, and sugar plantations. Every turn is another historical plantation house. Where else would a gorgeous southern belle choose to have her bridal portraits?! Arlington Plantation House and Gardens is perfection. Every room more gorgeous than the last, gorgeous brick pathways through the gardens, and of course a sugar kettle!
The day was gorgeous despite the threat of rain at every turn (it’s south Louisiana in the summer – it rains every day!). Because of the looming weather, we did not get a chance to explore much – but Maci rocked it out! The sun peeked out when we needed it to and Maci was the perfect southern belle who would never lead you to believe it was even the slightest bit humid outside.
When Ava (my little two-year-old), saw me editing these photos, she screamed “PRINCESS!”. I agree, Ava. I agree!
